Our Story
Disability employment in America has a paradox at its heart. Roughly 13% of the population has a disability. Most working-age disabled adults who want jobs face an unemployment rate roughly double that of their non-disabled peers, and three out of four aren’t in the labor force at all. At the same time, employers say they want to hire disabled workers but don’t know where to find candidates, how to accommodate them, or how to design inclusive workplaces.
Meanwhile, an enormous network of organizations already exists to help: The Arc and its 600+ chapters, state vocational rehabilitation agencies, Centers for Independent Living, WIOA-funded American Job Centers, and hundreds of community nonprofits. The talent is there. The infrastructure is there. The employers are there.
What’s missing is alignment. That’s why we exist.
ALIGN brings these pieces into a single, coordinated system: candidates get matched with the right opportunities, employers get the support they need to hire and retain, and partner organizations get a clear pathway from their programs to real jobs.

Our website, our process, and our employer trainings start from the assumption that everyone can use them. If they can’t, that’s our problem to fix.
